Collection: Ethan Fielder

Ethan Fielder is a sculptor and illustrator from Central Vermont. He earned his BFA in Ceramics in May 2019, from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and has worked in central Vermont and Massachusetts as a teacher, production potter, and freelance muralist. His early career as an artist was as a painter and illustrator until he was introduced to ceramics while earning his BFA. His work includes functional and sculptural pieces, which draw inspiration from street art, Japanese aesthetics, and the bright and illustrative works of the California clay movement. He has attended the Haystack School of Craft for multiple different short term residency programs, and spent 2 weeks visiting various ceramic studios in south central Japan on a trip in 2018. His work has recently been included in various shows across the country, including Saltstone Ceramic’s “Mug Madness” show in Seattle, WA, and Companion Gallery’s “Last Call VII'' show in Humbolt, TN. Currently, he is an artist in residence at the Morean Center for Clay in Saint Petersburg, FL
